Anxiety doesn’t get the final say.

Navigating Anxiety During Life’s Changing Seasons

Sometimes anxiety gets louder when life starts changing.

Maybe you're navigating a divorce, grieving a loss, experiencing changes in your relationships or career, or simply finding yourself in a chapter of life that feels different than you expected.

You may be overthinking decisions, replaying conversations, worrying about what comes next, or having a hard time quieting your mind.

And sometimes, you're still getting everything done.

You show up. You take care of people. You handle what needs to be handled.

But underneath it all, you're tired of feeling anxious.

Anxiety Can Show Up in Different Ways

Anxiety isn't always obvious. It can look like:

* Overthinking or constant "what if" thoughts
* Difficulty relaxing or shutting your mind off
* Replaying conversations and decisions
* Fear of making the wrong choice
* Perfectionism
* Difficulty with uncertainty
* Seeking reassurance
* Avoiding things that make you uncomfortable
* Feeling tense, restless, or on edge
* Trouble sleeping
* Feeling responsible for keeping everything together

Sometimes anxiety has been around for years. Other times, it becomes more noticeable when life changes.

When Life Changes, Anxiety Can Too

Certain chapters can leave us questioning what comes next.

Divorce or relationship changes. Grief and loss. Career transitions. Changing family roles. Caregiving. Children growing up. Perimenopause or menopause. Starting over. Or simply realizing that life doesn't look quite the way you thought it would.

Even positive changes can bring uncertainty.

Therapy can give you a place to slow things down, understand what's happening, and figure out what you need in this chapter of your life.

My Approach to Anxiety Therapy

I don't view anxiety as something that's "wrong" with you.

Anxiety is part of the brain's protective system. Sometimes that system becomes overly sensitive and starts sounding the alarm when you don't necessarily need it to.

Understanding that response is often an important part of learning how to respond differently.

Depending on your needs, I may incorporate approaches such as **Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), exposure-based strategies, EMDR therapy, and practical regulation and coping strategies.**

Therapy is individualized. We'll work collaboratively to determine what makes sense for you rather than trying to fit you into a one-size-fits-all approach.
