Court Testimony for Childhood Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring my training and experience directly into the courtroom to provide testimony related to Childhood Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Over the years, I have worked closely with children and families navigating the impact of trauma, and I understand how deeply early life experiences shape emotional regulation, behavior, and mental health throughout the lifespan.
When I provide court testimony, my goal is to translate both evidence-based research and my clinical expertise into clear, objective, and compassionate insights. I use a trauma-informed and neuroscience-based lens to help courts understand the complexities of child development, resilience, and safety.
Children deserve to have their voices and experiences represented accurately in legal proceedings, and my work in the courtroom has a profound impact on their lives. Whether in custody cases or situations involving child well-being, I strive to support the court in making informed, child-centered decisions that honor both the science of trauma and the humanity of the child.
